<h4>Rule 3.1.4 Bail – Bail Agents Don’t Choose Bail Amounts</h4>
Rule 3.1.4 Bail A. Bail/Jail Committee:
In compliance with Penal Code § 1269b, a committee of judicial officers as designate by the Presiding Judge, shall annually review new legislation and timely submit proposed Bail Schedule revisions and hold a public meeting the first week in December, each year, to discuss proposed revisions. After the public hearing, the Committee shall approve, deny, or modify any proposed revisions by majority vote.The Committee will accept for consideration any proposed Bail Schedule revision submitted in writing between September 1 and 30, inclusive, each year, or such time designated by the Chair of the Committee.The proposed changes approved by the Committee shall be submitted to the Court’s Executive Committee and Presiding Judge for final approval. Once approved by the Executive Committee and Presiding Judge, the new bail schedule shall go into effect in January of each year.
